       BAIC motor Research and Development Center was found with the purposes of achieve the goal of BAIC Group collectivization development strategy、establish the independent research platform, improve the innovation capability and serve the ‘BAIC Motor’ independent brand. Within several years development, the BAIC motor R&D center has completed a comprehensive Vehicle development system procedure and becomes BAIC Motor independent brand R&D base, which include the ability of core vehicle components development, critical sub-system integration and vehicle system integration development.
       BAIC motor R&D center is located in BeiJing Shunyi district. The total occupied area of the research base is one hundred and eighty thousand square meter, and total investment is one billion eight hundred million RMB. The completely industry research area include production manufacture center, production research center, trail-manufacture center, testing center, Style-Design center and other functional assorted research and development institutions.
       Since 2007, the automotive R&D center becomes an institute that recruited more than 2,000 employees from either China or foreign country. Additionally, more than 93 per cent of our employees are the research engineer, which makes us honored by the government to take in the led organization position for the Vehicle weight reduction project. Moreover, we do have the post-doctoral research station, world first-class laboratory such like K&C testing and high/low temperature environment chamber laboratory, etc. All the factors showing that we have the capability of doing production research, engineering development, testing and other independent research. The automotive research center has been entitled with the certification of ‘National Enterprise Technology Center ’. Besides, with the efforts of our engineers, our concept vehicle ‘SENOVA OFFSPACE’ earned the ‘Best Concept Vehicle of China’ in 2016, awarded by the top-class magazine of vehicle design 《CAR STYLING》,and the Senova D70,D50,CC,X65 and X25 honored China Red Star design award.

Breakthrough the technology block of intellectualization, low-carbon and elaboration. At the end of 2016, we completed the research 1.0 platform.
       Meanwhile, BAIC group launch the research 2.0 era, which include three platforms. D-platform is for A-Class vehicle, F-platform is for B-Class vehicle. High-End platform using V212 authorize by Mercedes-Benz. Through the modularization and technology generalization, we could improve the components utility rates, and makes significant improvement of quality. Through those schemes, BAIC R&D center is looking for the further which becomes to the world-class automotive research center
