HR Intern JD 

Objectives

1) To enable HR personnel to continue to concentrate on developing/enhancing HR strategies within JLR China, following the separation of services from Ford over the course of a six month period
2) To streamline and eliminate HR/Facilities administration as much as possible
3) To further develop the knowledge and skills of the team members within the HR function
4) To support the transition from ISE to local HR staff
5) To recruit a talented candidate with the potential to develop within the organisation in the future


Intern Roles and Responsibilities

Recruitment 
Develop awareness of and support HR professionals in the recruitment of local personnel. Including:

1) website update of available positions
2) management of recruitment correspondence and internal referrals
3) initial screening of applications and telephone interviews
4) arrangements for all stages of recruitment process
5) liaison with recruitment consultants for reference checking

Induction 
Develop awareness of and support HR professionals in the induction of local personnel. Including:

1) Logistical arrangements for new starters including room bookings
- Support office introduction

Employee/Facilities Management
1) Filing of recruitment and other HR related data
2) Maintenance of local policies and procedures
3) Maintenance of HR Metrics
4) Office and driver related administration

Training & Development
1) Participate in local training & development activities
2) IDP system maintenance and data update
3) Development of training policies/procedures
4) Logistical arrangements for training and development activities
5) Logistics for Employee Town Hall
6) Support EDC activities
7) Analysis of Employee Survey data

HR Intranet 
1) Support the development of the HR intranet

International Service Administration
Develop awareness of and support HR professionals in the management and administration for international assignees. Including:

1) Policy understanding
2) Liaison with suppliers
3) Payment administration

Business Acumen
Gain understanding and appreciation of working for a multi international company and it's various operational parts.


Performance Assessment

1) Intern will work to an action task list developed by HR Manager
2) Log book completed by the intern tracking completion of tasks, developmental activities and learnings
3) Delivery of tasks by the intern, assessed weekly through 1:1 with Supervisor
4) Feedback from intern through attendance at training and development activities
5) Presentation delivered by Intern to the People Committee
6) Feedback from colleagues and peers.

Attendence Requirement
* At least 4 days a week, last for 6 months
