General Motors Corp. (NYSE: GM), the world's largest automaker, has

Genuine GM Parts and accessories are sold under the GM, GM Performance
Parts, GM Goodwrench and ACDelco brands through GM Service and Parts
Operations, which supplies GM dealerships and distributors worldwide.
GM engines and transmissions are marketed through GM Powertrain.
GM's largest national market in the first half year of 2007 is the
United States, followed by China, the United Kingdom and Brazil, Canada.

General Motors began doing business in Asia Pacific in 1915, when
it introduced Buick and Cadillac products to Japanese consumers. Today,
GM has automotive facilities and sales operations in more than 15
countries. GM sold a record 1,247,000 vehicles in Asia Pacific in
2006, taking its regional market share to 6.5 percent.
In 1993, GM established its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore
to provide regional support and be closer to individual markets and
better positioned to respond to opportunities. It relocated its headquarters
to Shanghai in 2004 to put it in closer proximity to its growing operations
in Northeast Asia, which account for a significant portion of its
business.
Over the next decade, GM anticipates that vehicle sales in Asia Pacific
will grow at a faster rate than sales in any other region. With an
established presence in the key markets of Australia, mainland China,
India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea and
Thailand, GM seeks to maximize the challenges and opportunities ahead.
GM is collaborating with Isuzu Motors Ltd. and Suzuki Motor Corp.
on a variety of projects. In addition, GM is the largest shareholder
in GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co. (GM Daewoo). GM also has a
technology partnership with Toyota Motor Corp. and vehicle manufacturing
ventures with several automakers, including Toyota, Suzuki and SAIC.
GM's broad product portfolio in Asia Pacific encompasses the Buick,
Cadillac, Chevrolet, GM Daewoo, HUMMER, Opel, Saab and Wuling brands.
In addition, GM is represented by the Holden brand in Australia and
New Zealand. In some countries, GM also markets vehicles manufactured
by GM Daewoo, Isuzu and Suzuki.

The General Motors-China relationship dates back more than eight decades.
GM China's vision is together with its partners, to be the best automotive
group in China.
GM operates seven joint ventures and two wholly owned foreign enterprises
and has more than 20,000 employees in China. GM, along with its
joint ventures, offers the broadest lineup of vehicles and brands
among automakers in China. Products are sold under the Buick, Cadillac,
Chevrolet, Opel, Saab and Wuling nameplates. In 2006, sales of vehicles
by GM and its joint ventures rose 31.8 percent on an annual basis
to a record 876,747 units. GM ended 2006 with 11.6 percent market
share in China.
