| Do these BUs have specific degree requirement? |

| No, but CRL/CDL prefer Master and above degrees. GBS/GDC prefer bachelor and above degrees. |
| I have heard that IBM does not focus on the specific major requirements for the candidates. May I apply for the business unit which is not relevant to my education back ground? |

| Potential and personal capabilities are the most important factors to be considered when we are looking for an employee. Most of the R&D positions prefer some technical backgrounds; however, there are no strict criteria on the specialty as long as you can prove your capability to do the job. For GBS, business, economics, management, psychology, etc. are also welcomed. |
| How many steps before I can get the final offer from IBM? |

| Are selected applicants required to take an aptitude test? |
|
| All candidates except GBS, CRL candidates are required to take an IBM aptitude test. Those who have satisfactory result will be short-listed to the next step for face to face interviews. |
| Will applicants take different aptitude test according to positions they apply for? |
|
| The same version of the aptitude test will be used for all applicants, no matter what positions they apply for and what background they have, as we believe the aptitude to be tested is fundamental to any prospective IBMer. For CDL applicants an additional technical test is required. |
| What kind of interviews will I receive? Will interviews be conducted in English or Chinese? |

For GBS/ GDC applicants:
Human Resources Department and/or our vendor will first screen all applications and shortlist candidates for hiring managers’ reviews. Qualified candidates will be invited to have face to face interviews with IBM hiring manager directly.
The interview methodology IBM uses is behavior-based structured interview. That means we will ask you questions about previous experiences you have had in terms of competencies and technical skills.
For CRL/CDL positions:
Hiring managers will invite the short-listed candidates to take interview which will be mostly focusing on technical capability and related experiences. |
| When do the jobs start? |
|
| The full time jobs generally start in early July of 2008. Before your onboard, we may need you to work part time as interns in IBM and receive trainings to prepare you for future full time jobs. |
| When will I get Offer? |
|
| You can refer to the IBM internship recruitment schedule. Once we finish the 2nd round interview conducted by IBM hiring managers, the offers will be issued by waves from early Nov. to Dec. 2007. |
